DVM/PhD student (Comparative Biomedical Sciences)
Ashley received her BS in Biology and BA in Statistics from Wittenberg University in Springfield, Ohio. She is a DVM/PhD dual degree student, currently completing her second year of veterinary school at NC State University. In the Summer of 2023 she will begin her PhD in Comparative Biomedical Sciences. Ashley is interested in epidemiology and preventing disease in wildlife. Currently, she is studying pathogens and the effects of trace elements on the health of Galápagos sea lions. In her free time, Ashley enjoys playing guitar, participating in intramural sports, and spending time with her dogs Mapes and Hitch.
