Andrea Angstadt received her BS from Penn State University in Animal Bioscience with a minor in Biology in May 2006. She joined the lab in Fall 2006 as a graduate student pursuing a PhD in Functional Genomics. Her project focus is on identifying chromosome abnormalities present in canine osteosarcoma (bone cancer) using aCGH and FISH analysis. She also wants to identify comparisons between canine and human osteosarcoma to aid in diagnosis, prognosis, and treatment for both humans and dogs.
Andrea enjoys running, hiking, and spending time with her cat, Avery, in her spare time.
