Kate Kelley is a graduate of North Carolina State University with a BS in Microbiology and a minor in Genetics. She joined the lab in February 2008 and her work focuses on locating and interpreting chromosomal aberrations found in canines with diffuse large B cell lymphoma through the use of FISH and other cytogenetic techniques. Kate possesses a true passion for cytogenetics, particularly in the area of cancer research, as many of her family members have battled cancer.

In her free time, Kate enjoys spending time with her family and friends, participating in water sports, and being a “mom” to her Chihuahua, Pixie, and her cat, Hershel.
