Alex graduated from NC State with a BS in Biology in December 2009, and a BA in Spanish Language and Literature in May 2010. As an undergraduate at NC State, she worked in the Genetics Department studying Aggression in Drosophila melanogastor. She joined the Breen lab in May of 2011 as a Research Assistant.
During her free time, Alex likes to read, hike, travel, bake, hang out with friends, and take pictures. She has one dog, Persephone, and 3 cats, Taggy, Sassy, and Roxy.
